About Swiss–Korean Innovation Week
Since its inception in 2018, the Swiss-Korean Innovation Week has emerged as a flagship annual event, spearheaded by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Korea. With a core focus on fostering collaboration between Switzerland and Korea across various domains, including science & technology, research, creative industries and business, the Innovation Week serves as a dynamic platform for advancing bilateral cooperation.
Over the years, the Innovation Week has strategically addressed focus areas of mutual interest to both nations. These include Medical Technologies, Smart Living, Circular Economy, Green Transition, Diversity, Enabling Innovation, Trust Equation and Human Augmentation. Each year, the event showcases groundbreaking innovations, highlighting the synergies and innovative strengths of both Switzerland and Korea.
2026 Theme: Space
Space is more than exploration beyond Earth’s atmosphere. It is a platform for scientific discovery, technological innovation, and sustainable solutions, connecting orbital research, precision engineering, planetary health, and global collaboration.
In the upcoming Innovation Week, we will explore the multifaceted dimensions of space through four key subtopics: astrophysics, cosmology and space missions; engineering, precision and navigation; space debris and sustainable space; and health, biology and human adaptation to extreme environments. These areas reflect the complementary strengths of Switzerland and Korea, from cutting-edge research and precision technologies to emerging capabilities in space systems and human-centered innovation. Through a series of workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, the program will highlight opportunities for collaboration across these domains.
Join us for this forward-looking edition of the Swiss-Korean Innovation Week as we explore how space can serve as a new frontier for collaboration, innovation, and shared progress.
