Digital Dilemmas is an interactive exhibition that allows visitors to take on the roles of civilians or humanitarian actors during a conflict. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of digital risks, encourage dialogue and ultimately support better protection of civilians in the digital age. A physical installation of the exhibition utilizing VR technology will be available for guests at certain events throughout the Swiss-Korean Innovation Week.

The deployment and use of new digital technologies in modern conflicts – from information to cyber operations – creates new risks and enables actual risks of harm to civilians’ rights, lives, safety, dignity, and resilience. Understanding these risks is at the core of humanitarian work in the digital age.
