Space is not just about the rockets and launches. This panel gathers experts working in Switzerland and Korea to discuss governance and sustainability – the ecosystems built on smart policy and cooperation. As new actors and technologies crowd the Earth’s orbit, questions regarding responsible conduct in space become more relevant than ever. Coordination among players, as laid out e.g. in the MoU between KASA and the European Space Agency ESA (of which Switzerland is a founding member) offers a path to discovery through joint space operations to ensure a peaceful and sustainable future for all.

This workshop is the first youth-focused educational program to be introduced at the Swiss–Korean Innovation Week. Developed in cooperation with the NC Cultural Foundation, the program is designed as a hands-on learning experience for young students and includes direct engagement with experts from the Community of Human Analogue Space Missions (CHASM) and the Academic Space Initiative Switzerland (ARIS), who will meet with Korean students. It focuses on strengthening scientific thinking and creative problem-solving skills through an analog space mission that simulates space exploration on Earth, as well as through model rocket construction.
